Norcold 1210 refrigerator

Norcold 1210 refrigerator slowly dying as of 2 days ago, all troubleshooting points at cooling unit as likely fault, probably blockage/ lack of refrigerant flow. When checking hot line at external condenser fins, line in is too hot to touch (as expected), 5 inches later after first set of fins, barely warm. Internal fin temp only down to 41. New thermistor, propane burner works, electric elements drawing .4 amps, fans blowing, good voltage, level and other factors normal. Anyone have any technical ideas?

I have a 2013 331rlt and Mine died about the same time yours is now, with the exact same symptoms. My repair guy by passed the control board and hooked the heating element directly to 12 volts so it stayed on 24 hours then came back and took a temp and looked for ice on the fins and concluded the cooling unit was bad. We had extended warranty and got an articcold after market unit and now everything is good and the ice cream freezes with the temp set to 4.

Old unit sitting out on the patio, new residential 18 cu ft in the hole, freezer at -4, now just need to anchor it in place and close up with some trim work.
Listed on craigslist for free if anyone needs parts, and you are near Bushnell, FL
New unit @ Lowes $413 after discount and tax.

The cooling units in both our 06 3400 and our 13 3402 failed withing the first two years. They are of low quality. We are long timers and our fridge is on 24/7/365 except for the occasional defrost /cleaning.

We replaced the cooling unit with a Amish built cooling unit of high quality I believe they are in Shipshewanna, Ind .They cost a bit more but problem solved.

I bought a replacement unit from them several years ago. Installed it myself. Very simple job. The Amish manufactured replacement unit was much heavier then the original dometic. Dave Force the owner of RV Cooling Unit is most knowledgeable on all things pertaining to RV refrigerators. Very helpful.
