I totally agree. These air conditioners are crap. Very dissatisfied with the cooling of this unit

Cheap fix is to get a digital thermometer , use command strip and stick to inside wall.

Press the up or down button with unit turned off. This will display inside temp.

Air Conditioner with the Vents AC works Poorly

I agree, they should do a class action law suit against Keystone for their AC units that work so poorly. My dealer told me that if you are trying to get it to cool down to 70 deg that it will be at least 10-15 deg more. That is just wrong. The air just does not blow down. I know there are a lot of things to do with the AC and I have done it but that is just wrong.

Keystone does not make the AC units. Only 3 suppliers and all worker the same. We want big units and they use what is available. I'd like better but nothing available. Should have put another 15k up front instead of 13.5 maybe?

I have a 32 Ft with 2 slides unit with a 15K works great! They put the same 15K unit in a almost 40 ft unit with 4 slides just think about it! then their is the dark colors to consider!
IMO these units have got way to large next you will be adding a hitch to your Sick Built

No! The S & B would have to be pulled like a TT. Our 5er at 42' with 4 slides is just about big enough for the 2 of us and a small dog.

Had 2 ACs on our 35'er with three slides. A lot depends on where you park it. We winter 2 - 3 months in south FL and it can get toasty there. Also, your comfort range, 72 is where I prefer it inside. It is 68 this morning and feels good, outside will be mid-90s soon.

Vented AC

We winter in Arizona and we find that if we cover the windows with insulation and start the AC around 9am it will cool the trailer pretty well.

Glad it works for you and you are happy with it. Dealer told us to do same... covering windows or dropping shades defeats parking on a corner lake lot if you can't see and enjoy the reason you went there in the first place. Might as well be at home...

I refuse to kill my view because they don't engineer or size the A/C units correctly though.

AC Display

My 2014 3582RL is not like that either. It has the dual zone displayed and then has a button for inside temperature.
