Did I fry my Jenson AWM968

I hooked up my battery wrong this spring and promptly blew the main fuses on my converter. My understanding is that the fuses on the converter are there to prevent more serious damage when someone foolishly connects the wires to the wrong terminals. I replaced the 2 main fuses and everything seems to work fine, even the TV. In preparation to take the trailer out on a trip I checked the Jenson Entertainment unit. Dead. No power when I turn it on.
So my question is did I indeed fry it. Is the Jenson hooked up directly to the battery, bypassing the safety of any fuses? Or do I have another problem?

If you can pull it out or get behind the radio ... find the power wire and check for 12 VDC. Electronics are finicky about reverse polarity no matter how few milliseconds they are subjected to. Or ... on a wild guess is the radio on it's own fuse in your power center?

Has to have its own fuse in the power center or sharing a fuse with other stuff. if you don't have a blown fuse in the center, then you are forced to pull it and hook it up to another 12v positive wire to see if the issue is in the unit...like an internal fuse. John

The manual shows a 10 amp fuse on the unit. That might be the problem. The manual is available at http://www.jensenrvdirect.com/coming...th-stereo.html And under manuals and guides. The fuse is shown on page 3 of the manual.

Success. Thanks for the link. It was the fuse. I don't have a manual and did search online but couldn't find anything as comprehensive as provided by the link. I had taken the unit out and saw what I thought was a fuse but I couldn't pull it out and was afraid to do more damage. Nothing worse than doing something stupid like hooking the battery up backwards, and then following it up with more stupidity by forcing something that looks like a fuse but turns out it isn't . Sometimes I wonder how I have lived this long#128516;
