Dinette Table relocation

We have the free standing dinette table and are thinking about turning the table sideways and removing two chairs for extra room. The base is screwed into the floor. If I relocate it do I need to worry about the old screw holes? Has anyone else done this?

we did. I did not re-screw the table back down and have had no problems with it moving during travel so will likely leave it "loose". We sure like the extra room. We sold 3 of our 5 dining room chairs and have never regreted it. We have a regular desk chair at the desk and 2 dining chairs at the table. Works great for us.

The screws came loose in ours and stripped out, so I just moved the table about a 1/2" and put the screws back in. It has been nice and snug ever since.

I remember seeing an RV that had a rectangular table that turned 90 degrees and slide in so two chairs would be facing towards the window and there was still room for a chair on each end. If you left your table loose you could do the same.

Our table pivots 90 degrees and slides back and forth.

Ours slides back and forth, I don't know if it pivots......I will look into that.

We have had ours loose for several thousand miles of terrible road and it hasn't moved yet. We like the extra room by moving it.

Took out the table and got a small one with two chairs lot more room did't bolt it down has not moved yet.

We unscrewed ours turned it half around, then back, repositioned it then finally took it completely out and put my recliner where the table was. We almost never sit at the table and eat so this works great for us. We do have the little end table, a laptop table and a small footstool/storage area. I also removed the tie-down hooks under the recliners and replaced them where the chairs were relocated.

We too moved the table and left two chairs at home. I did resecure the table but used some pelican hooks, snap shackles, and small lift rings and short lengths of 1/4" nylon line. This way we can quickly undo the hooks and move the table. It's not tight, table hasn't moved about. The 2 chairs, we continue to use the Keystone supplied strap, are secured to the table.

I turned mine 90 degrees and used the same screw holes. There is a posting in archives where someone modified the table b putting a bracket on it so it rotates. Search under Improvements.

We unscrewed ours and have pulled it 20K miles without movement. Also took the top loose from the base and with the help of a table saw, ours is now a drop leaf. Took 2 chairs out and have 2 folding chairs stored behind the couch when we need 4.

We have a 2003 3280RL and movd the table and 4 chairs to the rear where the two recliners were, then moved the couch foreward and put one recliner ( a larger one next to the couch DW likes the couch I prefer the recliner) this really opens up the living area.

We have a 3000RK and wanted to get to the fridge when traveling/slides in. Took the screws out of the table base at the floor, turned it 90 degrees and removed 2 chairs - we can now get through (sideways) :-) What I'd like to know is if anybody has replaced their table and chairs with a bench dinette.
