Front cap chipping

We have a brand new 3160RL and we just took our first trip. I was cleaning the bugs off of the front cap, post trip, and noticed 6 or 8 little paint chips. There is no reason for this to happen other than bugs hitting it. Has anyone had this issue? Would bugs hitting it actually cause paint to chip??!

Dave, Don't bet the only thing hitting the front cap is bugs. Debris off passing trucks, heavy dust in the air from winds, even small gravel and weed chunks from roadside mowing. You truck also kicks up a lot of stuff even if equipped with mud flaps. It's a jungle out there. Jim

You are probably right. Knowing my luck, I probably got behind a gravel truck spitting rocks with my brand new camper. I will just have to get some touch up paint.
