Lippert slide warranty.
My slides have creeped out 4 times a couple of weeks ago but haven't been a problem since. My one year warranty on Mountaineer runs out July 23. I am having it checked at a different dealer than the one that sold it to me, so they charge $100 an hour to diagnose, since Keystone doesn't repay for that.
So my question- Is the Lippert warranty on the slide cylinders for greater than a year? If so I will just wait a while and see if it gets worse and then have it fixed.
I am afraid that with only a few problems the dealer won't be able to verify it is a problem and I don't want to pay to hear that.
Any advice?
Thanks.

I can' help. But it is the annoying problem that if you can't duplicate it they really can't diagnose it. And if they can't say with some authority what the problem is, it is unlikely warranty will cover repairs.

My slides would creep out after driving about 3 hours. Less than that not much of a problem. My problem was fixed by my dealer because I had an extended warrantee. Take it in, they can test them for you. Just tell them they creeped out. Let them figure it out. They tested mine and found two servos were bad.

My slide creep was finally fixed by replacing the pump ($1300 for the pump + labor + other materials + tax)
I also paid for a lot of diagnostic time and 2 slide hydraulic rams replacement at CW that never fixed the problem ($1700)
Hope your fix is a lot less $$$ and quicker. Good luck.

It can also happen if something is caught in the valves that control the slides or the valves aren't completely closed. This would be the case if it's specific slides, if it's all of them it's probably something with the pump.

Call lippert direct. I have experienced great support from their customer service folks.

I sent lippert an email about the level up and a rep called me the next morning. Personal service, who would have thought? I am sold on calling or emailing the manufacturer/supplier instead of keystone, seems to get more attention.

I have had the same problem on occasion with my 2011....after we pit in the slides...we just "bump" the switch back the other way to relieve the pressure and hey...no more problems...ours would creep out about an inch or so ...just the bedroom slide...just a suggestion....not hauling 100 miles to dealer to try and fix it...

I had the same problem with my 2010. Turned out it was low oil.

I doubt that any RV Service Department has a tech that understands a hydraulic system and that the shop has the tools to properly diagnose a hydraulic system.
I would do as suggested, call Lippert and get some ideas from them. Maybe when they come in, turn the isolation valves to off and see what happens.
I do not think Keystone pays for diagnose time, only component replacement. When we picked up our trailer the entrance door did not shut correctly, it was hitting the rain gutter. They wanted to replace the entire assembly. I told them to re-position the rain gutter, IE: hit it with a rubber hammer and bend it out of the way.
This is the stupidity at the dealership level, you will encounter.
Good luck.
Jim
