Adjust brakes after packing wheel bearings

Is it necessary to adjust brakes after repacking wheel bearings. If the brake shoes aren't worn and you clean everything with brake cleaner should you readjust brakes. Had new backing plates and brake shoes installed less than 5000 miles ago.

I would adjust the brakes just to make sure they are good.

All depends if you have self-adjusting brakes or not. In my opinion if you have self-adjusting brakes you are good to go.

I'd adjust them up while you're there. Won't hurt a thing to get them adjusted to about the same. The auto adjusters have their faults

No reason not to adjust.

I have self adjusting and the adjustment between drivers side and street side was not even close. I adjusted them to be close side to side and close between all four. Worth the time to do. Self adjust only work for as long as your foot is on the brakes.
