Is there an A/C already in your bedroom? If not ... usually but not always when you take the inside of the skylight out, there is a piece of panneling or cardboard to the side blocking the end of the ductwork ... it simply comes out to tie into the duct. If you already have an A/C that blows out into the bedroom ... you'll have to buy another inside difuser cover ($$) that is meant for ducted air. I can't answer the issue of a dual zoned thermostat.

Or it's already ducted ready to go ...

Not sure about the High Country, but in our 2015, both ACs are ducted through a common duct, plus the bedroom AC has a separate vent that can be left open or closed.

"Bullheading" two air conditioners into one duct is never a good idea from a mechanical standpoint. It functions well when one unit is a backup for the other, if one shuts down on failure, and can be mechanically isolated from the other [motorized damper]. Our 3402 has non-ducted bedroom cooling and rear main ducted AC, the Dometic controller has a sensor in the bedroom in addition to the main living area, allowing two setpoints, for Zone 1 [main] and Zone 2 [bedroom]. I won't offer an opinion of this control, I would have preferred something else. Yes the bedroom can be very noisy, but frankly I prefer this arrangement.

After numerous rigs without a bedroom A/C, we added one this time. The low profile Dometic unit works great. Our 2012 3455SA was ducted, had the separate zone sensors, so we were good to go. It is really a game changer, especially when we dry camp in hot locations. We can use the main AC to keep the rig cool, then switch to the bedroom before we go to bed to really bring the bedroom down to ice box and good sleeping temperature. It is also nice to run the bedroom AC while we are watching TV in the main salon, less noise. One of those best decisions we ever made, kinda like having the 6 point auto level. Now that we have it, won't go without it.
