Mattress weight with Schwintek Slide

We are thinking of using our 3 inch mattress pad we had in the traded camper in the new camper with the new bedroom schwintek slide. We to replace the bed lifts in traded camper with heavier ones. This pad is heavy and concerned about the added weight on this new to us system. Anyone have experience with this situation and your opinion.

There should be no worries about any weight of mattresses/pads on the slide system...not that I have it. Maybe someone that does have will chime in on anything they know. John

I've seen that slide system on some decent looking Class A's which would lead me to believe your fine.

My buddy with a SOB has the Schwintek slide system and he added a 3 inch topper and no problems in 2 years as far as weight goes,he has had a little problem with the Schwintek but it was NOT because of the extra weight of the topper

We have a sleep number bed and we replaced our 80PSI struts with 120PSI struts and the new ones are working fine. The original ones would not hold the bed up when we had to go to the under bed storage area. We saved our old struts in case we need then for our outside storage doors.

Well, we purchased a 1.5 inch pad and works and sleeps okay. The factory bed lifts work. I replaced the lifts on traded 3400 to support the larger pad. I should have thought to take the improved ones off before trading. Didn't think about it.

Although you already bought a thin memory foam topper ... I believe your weight worries are unfounded. If the Schwintek bedroom slide won't take another 35# or so ... Keystone designers really slipped up. Many people have more than that shoved under the bed and or resting on top of it when they travel. I think you'll admit you really liked your old 3" topper better and probably should at least give it a try. Most people in the know will admit when manufacturers go with the Schwintek system on the big main slides ... there are problems. Way fewer issues with the smaller slides like a bedroom.
