No worries John that’s why there are different styles to please everyone.

We have to put our slides out to access some of our unit so I hope truckers won’t park that close!

Last time I stopped at a Loves the spaces were marked at what seemed less than the 14' width of my storage space at home. Best to get in between 2 already there for the same duration as you if you need to deploy steps or a slide.

Maybe you should check out Torklift Glowstep Revolution Scissor Step with Landing Gear. Those are sturdy and maybe there won't be an issue with space.
Also, would work for those who don't want the stairs inside their unit. Check on etrailer. With all the reasons I stated before I don't want them inside.

Those make more sense but still not a fan of needing 'adjustable feet'. Maybe we are not heavy enough to notice any need for that.

I don't disagree with John Iv only been in one tight spot when a guy pulled in way to close to us over the line other than that I have never had a problem with room!

In the past we have had a slide in, Class A and an older Keystone 5th wheel. All of which did not have to have the slides out to access bedroom and bathroom. Nor did they have high quality steps and Moyride had not started manufacturing same. But then access to those units was no where near as high as our new unit (we have a full 4 steps on the ladder with no entry step inside).

We stayed several times at truck and rest stops while in transit to a campground in those former RVs. We won't be parking back with the truck drivers for sure with our new camper. We will have to look for parking spots that will accommodate our new RV and the need for slides to be out to use it. But I really don't think it is going to be that big of an issue. In fact, I can't think of a single time in the past where it would have been. It isn't going to be any worse than looking for campgrounds that will accommodate a 42' long RV that's for sure!!

I am not so out of shape at present that the rickety OEM steps we have are a major issue but I have had company over that DID comment that the steps seemed wobbly! I am very proud of our new rig and having the first thing folks notice as they step inside being a negative really stinks. So no question for me that the Moyrides will eventually be installed.

We haven't built our storage building yet so I am able to plan for the width I need (I wanted to make sure not only that steps will deploy but we could get the slides all the way out too so yes it will be really wide for the RV like 18'). If you already have your storage building and it won't accommodate the steps then I understand why you would not want them. But I just don't get the "dirt in the RV" thing sorry folks but that argument seems rather weak to me.

I did the install on are soiled steps over the week end they are the best thing since sliest bread. The wide step at the top is nice to have. I used the longer bolts and through bolted
using the the steel plate that come with the steps instead of just the wood screws that can pull out over time

Interesting that they provided a steel backing plate as mine didn't come with one though the on-line lit said it would. The part's list didn't list it though.

Oh well. Not a big deal as I added 2 sizes larger dia. and 1" longer screws and will add something for a backer if I feel it's needed.

I believe in post #23 I put in the measurements of how far the steps come out when deploying and when stationary. I love the steps even though they go inside, just wipe 'em before you do. Not a big deal.

I bought my steps at Mor-Ryde 2 years ago when having brakes and I.S. installed. These were the 1st generation steps that would latch to outside of coach and take off to store in compartment. These are the same as new steps today but don't fold up. If you have a couple of artificial knees as my wife has then you would appreciate the stiffness of the steps.
