Solar panel and battery

Hi everyone. I am in the process of storing my 2022 Montana for the winter in upstate New York. I have a solar panel mounted on the roof and was wondering if I should cover it for the winter. I have a cover for the camper. Also, should I also remove the battery or can I just use the battery disconnect switch? Thanks for any suggestions.

In upstate New York, I'm guessing you can get pretty cold in the winter.
I'd take my battery out and bring it home. Put on a tender to maintain.
I don't have solar so I don't know how durable they are. My biggest concern would be hail or freezing rain damaging it.
