2007 Dodge 6.7 mileage
Hello All- newbie question.
Have a 07 dodge crew cab , 373 , auto dually with the 6.7. What are you getting mileage wise towing and not towing? I have a 2010 3455 SA .
No modifications on the truck, pure stock.
I haven'[t found any such comments in the forum.

My 6.7 with automatic gets 10 and sometimes 11 towing the 5er. Empty truck on the hiway I get 18 to 20. Mixed town and hiway is around 16. I have a 1 ton but SRW.

I get 10.5 to 11 towing and around 16 in town. I also run about 21 to 22.4 on highway. I have a 6.7 auto 3.73 in a 3/4 ton srw.

You don't mention the number of miles on the truck...should get better when you hit 30k, it's getting broken in.

It also makes a difference whether it is a two wheel drive or a 4x4

I should have provided this info. Two wheel drive, dually, crew cab, 373 rear end. 6.7 automatic.

According to Keystone our 3400 weighs 15,610 lbs. That's a factor in our mileage.
With 52k miles on the truck (6spd automatic and 3.73 axle) we get anywhere from 9.6 to 11.5 towing with 10 to 11 being most common. Highway it gets 18 to 22, unless I run over 70 mph, with most common being 19 to 21. A city mix of city stop and go with some city freeway nets about 16 mpg. That can vary by about 1 mpg depending on how much stop and go. Like yours, this truck is pure stock other than the Rancho adjustable shocks to improve the non-towing ride.
Also, when the pumps have winterized diesel, figure on roughly 1 mpg lower mileage, or even slightly more than that.
Dave, I think you'll find that Cummins and that automatic are one outstanding combination. I am still amazed at how this Cummins hardly breathes hard towing this Montana. Sure, it has to work, but with a redline of 3200 rpm and torque and hp at relatively low rpm, it never screams like my prior trucks did when towing steep grades. This one just digs in and climbs. It's a sweet towing truck. I hope you like yours as much.
Dave, I see you live in Burleson, TX. We spent the first two weeks of January visiting friends in Granbury, not too far from you. Sorry we didn't know you were there or we would have seen if we could get together for lunch or something.
