As chance would have it, I'm looking for new tires for my truck. I'll only get 30k out of the factory OEM tires.
I have been eyeballing the Michelins ... what kind of miles have you been getting from them and why did you choose them over other brands?

On every vehicle that we have ever purchased or leased new, when the OEM tires needed changed, I have always put same size Michelins on the vehicle. So far on my truck, I have a set on that has about 30K miles and I'm not planning on replacing them for another year or so. They are quiet and help with ride. Just my opinion.

My Michelins is rated for 70,000 miles when they sold them to me. First set I ever bought we will see on that mileage. Hauling this heavy trailer with them kind of miles don't sound all that great to me. But we will keep an eye on them. Right now about 35,000 and they don't even look like they been used, but I know better that that also.

Ooooooh, all pretty and clean, too. Is that a tire monitor mounted on a metal stem, too? How many miles did you have on the old tires before you pulled the trigger on these new ones? It looked like the old ones were ready for the heap and the wear pattern looked great even with all that off-the-beaten-path you've been doing. Oh my, what you are about to do to those new tires... LOL.
I have the very same wheels on my updgraded Ford F-250 with the F-350 wheels and Leafspring packs along with Michelin M/S2 tires. I got the wheels as "takeoffs" via Ebay. I had never seen this pattern before and now that I have them, I am starting to see them all the time - I'm guessing it's a newer pattern. One of these days, I will have the tire monitor system too.
But you can keep those thorny things to yourself.

Yep, the worthless Hawkshead system, not positive on the miles, I had 6 or 8 in the garage from older trucks I have had, always Michelin's except on the new ones I bought.
The new tires won't see the trails, we leave here the 11th. I kept the 2 old ones, a friend is keeping them for me when I come back in October, I clenaed them up real good and put them in white tire bags. I will bring 2 more from my garage. I have to make a rack to place under the Monte to carry the 2 tires.... another Ozz-Mod... I love those wheels..

I spent the better (or worse, depending on how you look at it) part of a year in the Michelin Rubber Plantation...never did see a single tire!
