What a neat thermostat!

It was brought to our attention on another thread that our thermostat on the new rig seems to be different. Whether it is a newer model that is now being used or whether it was part of the factory generator package, I am not sure. It is a Dometic Comfort Control Center 2 Programmable Thermostat. I was so curious about it that I went to the mini-storage this morning to grab all of the manuals, etc. in the rig. I cannot find any documentation at all on-line for this unit. The thermostat is programmable for temperature settings by time, and has a feature that enables auto-start of the generator, which is why I am wondering if the thermostat is related to the generator install. I do know that it is a pretty neat addition.

Wow. I need one of those. I am getting tired of walking all the way across the bedroom to the lavatory to push the gen start button.:-))))))

I do like the programmable portion of that. I had one in Omaha before retirement and enjoyed letting the thermostat cool the house down at night and warm it in the morning. We have the CCC thermostat in our 3075RL but it is not the 2nd generation that you have. I'm jealous.

Sounds nice! Like most things, I'll bet it can be had (for a price). It would be nice if it integrated into the existing harness.

Congrats on new rig Bingo. We have a new 3455SA with the new Dometic Control Center 2 also but without the generator start. What I do have is a scanned copy of our manual. Let me know if you need a copy and I'll be more than happy to send via e-mail.

Gene,
I have the installation manual and the instruction manual for the thermostat. The manuals do not clearly state how to use the automatic generator function, other than setting a dip-switch. Another thing I am trying to find out is how to find out if the outside thermometer function is enabled and if not, how does onw go about installing it? I guess some e-mails to Dometic are in order come this winter (the season of Mods!!)

Bingo...the generator start would explain why our units are different. You have a generator, I do not. Thanks for the post.
