stained trim
I've been searching for some new trim for our 05 3670. It's badly stained from time spent in Key west by the previous owner. I can't seem to find the same type with the groove built in. Anyone know where to get some?? Thanks! It's the vinyl trim that covers all the screws around the rv. one screw on each end with a little caulk. It's about 3/4" wide.

At this time, I see 37 members have viewed this and not commented. I am going to take a leap here so forgive me for asking but what trim are you referring to? I do not understand where this trim is located. I hope we can help. I hope that's why no one else has commented.
I am equally baffled by the groove description but I will probably figure out once I understand the trim location.
On edit: Thanks for adding the location. The posts below pretty much cover it all

Have you tried some of the different cleaners to see one will remove the stain? I know the cleaner for black streaks works wonders. I might be inclined to try a tire white wall cleaner too. After all, if it screws it up, you were going to replace it anyway, and if it works, your problem is solved.

Your RV dealer should be able to get the trim for you. You can also remove it and soak it in a 5gal bucket of water an a cup of bleach. Kerry

I think their talking about all the rubber moulding on the outside but not the vinyl moulding around the door, the up and out(5th wheel area)and roof line.
I used Awesome and Mr Clean sponges the last time. Lots of elbow grease.

If you're talking about the vinyl trim, it can be removed and replaced with new vinyl trim. I purchased some at CW for my old pull TT. I haven't replaced my trim on our Montana. We just merely clean it with lacquer thinner. We remove it from the rig and with a rag saturated with thinner, pull the trim through the rag as I hold it in my hand. If you are sensitive to solvents, use rubber gloves (I use the latex kind that I buy by the box at Sam's.

If we are talking mold on the vinyl/rubber inserts at the seam between the body parts, then I have had good luck removing the pieces and soaking them overnight in a strong bleach solution (cup in a pail of water). Newer Montanans have a different kind of joint cover, so this may only be practical for models prior to about 2007/8 (?).

Yogib 1b,
If your referring to the vinyl molding on the outside of the rig, then yes, you can get it at camping world. As you can see, many people have been able to successfully "clean" them.
Having our Montana down in Yuma, AZ for the past 3 yrs. has "burned" our molding and caused it to turn a nasty yellow, and even start to deteriorate. Mel found some matching vinyl at Camping World in Tucson last year, and we have discovered it at many other RV stores we have been to. You shouldn't have to hard a time finding it. Also, Mel had no trouble replacing it, you just have to be patient at times.
