Retirement

Text
Just 1 more day. I retire officially 11-25-05 after 40 yrs commercial driving. And the Lord willing early AM on Dec. 5th we will be heading for Creekside RV Park Pigeon Forge TN.. At least for the next year.
The roughest part will be that just 25-30 ft behind our lot is Waldens creek full of trout and other wonderful fish. Gonna be nice to carry lawn chair, diet Pepsi, rod & reel that 30 ft. LOL
Sure sounds stressfull huh.

Well, congratulations on your retirement. This is a day of thanksgiving for you. We're in our first year of retirement and have found it to be a very desireable state of affairs. Haven't had any real adjustment to retirement but I give credit to our life in the Montana for that. We've enjoyed seeing new places and new things and meeting new people.

May all your travels be very safe and enjoyable.

You know you are retired when you wake up in the morning with nothing to do and go to bed at night with it only half done.
BUT, Keep in mind, doing nothing can be a very tiresome job because you can't stop to rest.

Been to Creekside RV Park and I know you will enjoy your stay.

Congrats on your retirement. It is a great life. Yesterday we will cleaning house for dinner today. I told Ed since we were retired we get a 15 minute break every hour. Work 45 minutes, rest 15. He said he had a better idea, work 15, rest 45.
Happy trails..........................

Congratulations! Diana and I love that area we will look you up the next time we are up there. Grand opening of a new Bass Pro Shop at the Pigeon Forge exit. Should be plenty of retirement toys there. Have fun!!

Congrats on your retirement. The hardest thing for me was to remember that I didn't have to get that load there on time when I hit the road. Good luck

Owenwetzel,

Congratulations! You won't regret retiring.

I just retired October 1 after 35 years at Boeing (and 23 years w/Coast Guard Reserve). I've had a couple people ask "do you wish you would have worked a little longer?" My mouth usually falls open, as I can't relate to that - they must be kidding!!!

Congrats ....

Best of luck on your retirement. We have eight years and two days to go. I know it will go faster than we want it to go. Enjoy yourself, but remember to practice "catch and release" so that there are some fish there in eight years.
