Heart catheter---Update

Finally the long day is over and I am now the proud owner of two new stints. Both of the blockages were 75% blocked and each received stints. Am thinking I actually feel better already and sure hope it continues. I'm ready to head home to Florida soon as the doctors will let me drive that far. Hope everyone is doing fine out there and enjoying the summer, Happy Trails, Steve and Susie

Update: Had my initial appointment with my new Florida Cardiologists yesterday at the Gainsville VA Hospital and am glad to say everything looks good. Only a couple issues which are not real serious, like not enough exercise and watch my diet but they can be taken care of pretty easily. Thanks for the thoughts, concerns and Prayers from everyone. Happy Trails, Steve and Susie

Sounds like you are on the road to recovery. Glad to hear it! Hurry back down so you don't miss this hot weather and 10 minutes rain showers.

Yes Dennis and Sharon, we will be heading home to Florida the 30th. Have added a new addition while in the north and everyone has seen it except us so we're anxious to get home. We were hoping to get the Montana sold thru the summer so we wouldn't be obligated to the music program here next summer, but has not happened yet, so looks like it will be another year like this one. Well, but maybe without the heart problems, that would be nice. I believe you have our phone number (if not let me know and I'll IM it to you) so give us a call when you arrive down there and we'll get together. Happy Trails, Everyone, Steve and Susie

A few years ago my 80 year old Mom had a couple of these done and for her it was a night and day difference. Prior to the work she was always so tired until she had a mild stroke and that's when they found she needed heart surgery. She's 84 now and going strong. I also found out they are called "stents" not "stints" like I originally thought.

Then just a couple of months ago my uncle starting exhibiting headaches, shortness of breath and lack of energy. Off to the doctors and he found out he needed three stents, but the doctors were hoping they could get away with doing only two. Then when he was on the table, they changed their minds and found he needed FOUR. All went well, and he's doing well, too. In fact, just a couple of weeks later, he's on a 2 month driving trip all over the western States, Canada and Alaska, and he's the one doing the driving. The wonders of modern medical science.

My family history is demonstrating I need to be more cautious.

Best to you Steve and Susie!!!
