Did My Good Deed For The Day
Was out in the park and a fellow was standing about 40 feet from his Montana staring at it (not an MOC member). He said he bought his Montana new, it is a 2003 model, and he has never had any problems with it except this one. For a little background, he is a bachlor, fulltimer for the last 2 years, and all of a sudden his galley is backing up into the sink.
I asked if his galley valve was bad and he explained that he only had one tank and his shower and bath sink drained fine, it must be a clogged pipe. I think you folks know where this is going. I went under his slide and pulled the galley valve and you could hear a big gush of water draining. You should have seen the look on his face.
How do you have a trailer since 03 and live in it fulltime for 2 years and just now fill up the galley tank, I declined his invitation to come inside.
Good deed done..

If he would have joined the forum a while back he probably would have discovered about the valve. I’m not surprised that some people may not know about one being there. I hope he joins the forum!

Lets see - conserve water so wash dishes in the shower (Dad used to do that in the Marines he claimed years ago ; use kitchen sink only for hands/ quick rinse, and if the valve leaked any at all, it would take a long time before it got plugged up enough to keep water from draining so -- it is possible -- but what a stretch to make it so.
As others have said, hope he now realizes the value of this group and joins!!

Maybe he has a dog and that's the way he washes dishes?? Seems impossible that he could go that long and not have some kind of question about the galley tank, doesn't it?

hey fellows i can understand some of that as my old 3295 2004 Montana had its kitchen handle under the side right next to wire harness sometime when i let my side out it would open the valve as the t handle would get pulled by th wire harness until it broke it off the i had to pull on the stem i didn't put a t handle back...... so yes i cant see someone living in it for years without sink ever backing up but i do see how it can happen for him not knowing.
