Leveling bags
Level-Air used to sell RV leveling bags but are no longer being made. Do any members have them, still use them, or had used them. I recently got some information on making a set, materials list and where to buy the bag. Before I spent the time and money I would like to know how well do they work.

I don't know anything about Level-Air but Firestone makes air bags that are widely used and are considered to be one of the best on the market. There are many place/websites that you can purchase them through or even at you local auto/truck parts
stores. Here is one website to view applications and cost:

I have them Dee, as you know. I really don't use them much anymore. They do not leak air, and are very good quality, too bad they stopped making them.

Talking about the air bags that go under the trailer tires (I think). There must be a reason they stopped making them, I'm guessing they didn't work very well. JMHO

Sorry I wasn't very clear on my post about the leveling air bags. I have the Firestone air lift bags on my truck. I was inquiring about the ones that are placed under the RV tires to level it. Thanks for all the responses.

I had the level air bags for about 3 years.they worked awesome. Then both started to leak, just about the same time-go figure.I used them every time I set up.So they did get a lot of usage. In hind sight I probably wouldn`t have forked out the $140 bucks if I had known that for me any way the life span would be 3 years.

Try tightening the bolts, that may work.

I think someone posted that they are no longer available as a "new purchase."

Hey Ozz
Was the first thing I tryed was tighten the bolts.Still leaked.Don`t get me wrong I loved those bags, made levelling soooo easy. And perfectly level every time out.I think where the bolts are, theirs probably some kind of adhesvive that bonds the rubber to insure no leaking..Might be a possibilty to put down another layer of some type of bonding material].

I have had a set for two years and love them. No carrying boards around and guessing how many to put under the tire to get it level. I just get the 5er where I want it and back onto the bags, inflate until level. I do this befor putting down the front leggs so i can adjust them to the correct length.
