Curious... the flat mirror is on front, not the later curved mirror. This is really a sharp looking unit. Is this all decals, or semi full body paint, Glenn???
Also, I assume that this is the 3400RL Big Sky (4 slides)?

Sure sad to see that Keystone did not get rid of that mirror on the front cap. Really downgrades the look of the front end.
Thank you Glenn for the pics...

I talked to a Keystone Rep. at the Collier RV show here in Rockford today, they did not have the new Big Sky, and when I asked him about that front cap and mirror he stated that the reports they have are overwhelming favorable to that ugly mirror. I have no clue who they have been talking to, and I informed him of my displeasure.

I actually use my mirror. At a CG, after I am rigged up for an extended period, I usually back up my 2500HD to the front nose to park on a regular basis. I can tell how close my tailgate is to the pin box. I can get within a few inches. Thanks, Montana, for a great idea! I know I would have had dings in my GMC by now. Mirror has been invaluable.
Do I use it to hook up? No. I can see my pin and hitch... Why in the world would I need a mirror for that???

We also use the mirror. Had to do a few things so I could see what I was doing with the Mor Ryde pin box added but I can get the pin right in the hitch alone..if need be.

Sorry folks but as I was more concerned that they screwed up our new 3485SA.
As I was leaving the building I saw the BS and thought I would get some exterior pics to share with you guys.

Glenn,
I know you posted floor plans or a link for that 3485SA but I can't find it and it still isn't on Keystones site. I'd like to refresh my memory if you still have that information. (Never mind, I was too lazy to walk across the room to check out the new brochure, the plan is in that, sorry.)
On a similar note, we went to our local RV show yesterday and I asked the only Montana dealer about the Big Sky and she said "they stopped making that unit". I kind of expected that response but I'm still a little amazed. I brought her and a couple other of the sales people up to speed on what's coming, including the sofa, I was hoping I'd see one of those.
Whoops almost forgot, still don't like the mirror or the front end of the new units. And although I like the "convenience center" where you have access to all the water and the winterizing, I was surprised how much of the "basement" is lost.

Thanks for the photos Glenn. Yippee - backup lights FINALLY! Also notice they went to a Carefree electric awning instead of A&E.
MAC - We went yesterday to the show and chatted with Kevin from Keystone about the Big Sky. The salesman from DelCamino joined in and got an education. DelCamino will not be getting a Big Sky this first run because they didn't order one. Tarpley will get thiers mid February.
2007Dura - The Big Sky has gel coat cargo doors as standard. Per Kevin, once the Big Sky is in full production, the parts department will once again have gel coat doors in stock for purchase as parts, and can be ordered for the Montana.

Brad,
We didn't see the Keystone rep, we got there first thing in the morning. Wish I would have known you were there we would have been able to meet and chat.

That would have been nice MAC.
We had every intention of getting there at 9:00 AM, so of course we got there by 3:00 in the afternoon . I didn't realize that half the light rail routes don't run on weekends! Next time I just drive, especially if it's only 3 degrees outside.
My Dealer called and told me the name of the Rep that would be there and told me to say hi. She had just talked to him to get the delivery schedule on ours, and of course the Big Sky they have coming.

bsmeaton- Thanks for the info on the gel coat. After seeing the pictures posted in this and another post, and now the rig is gel coat, I will have to investigate.

bsmeaton & Mac, Kevin was at the Boise show on Jan.4 and I got to spend most of the day with him. He was most informative as to any question that I asked him. I learned a lot of information on all of the Montanas and BS. It was really nice to be able to talk to a Keystone(Montana) company rep. He was very nice and I enjoyed being with him.
Mirror on front, mine does not have one and I am not about to ask for one to me installed.
Glenn, thanks for the pictures of the BS. Also, do you remember the topic of a laptop holder for the center consol of a pick-up? I would like to build one for my pick-up but I can't find the section that it is in. Thanks in advance if you know.

Kevin also said they really tried to keep the weight down on the Big Sky to stay in the 3/4 and 1 ton market, which is why they didn't go to Corian countertops. He said that was one of the downfalls of the Cambridge is it was TOOO heavy and had a limited market.
He said the target weight was 14K. The high GVWR is a result of the 7K axles which were added based on customer feedback. Although GVWR is over 16K, he said realistically it should be well under 16K fully loaded with personal gear.
