Prospective full timer and very nervous

I am moving out of my house in March and will be full timing. Mostly for cost savings and the park is close to work. I went looking the past few days and loved one of the Montana models. Then I started reading reviews. Terrible ac. Leaking. Terrible quality. Should I look at a different company or model? Spend more for a pinnacle?

Also if you full time and take in your trailer for service where do you stay? I have dogs and couldn't afford hotels for 5 to 10 days while they service.

Josh, we are one our 3rd Montana and have been pleased with them all. Some people have had problems with the AC but I have never. Just was in 100 degrees temp and the unit stayed nice and cool.

We full time for a couple of years and if you can not fix some things yourself it can be a problem. It all depends on the dealer. I know people one the MOC that are full timers for a long time. I sure they will be able to answer your question.

I wouldn't be quick to jump on a Pinnacle. Friends traded their MH for a Pinacle and had so many problems with the Pinacle they traded it for a different 5er.
Like just about anything these days, you can get a good or bad experience.

We are almost five years full time, and the only time we were out of our rig was for warranty work in the first year, a broken black tank valve and a failed front air conditioning unit, and it was only three nights in July and the rig was at the CW west of Boise, ID, and one issue was fixed by their night crew, and the other the next morning. I've done all the work needed since then, replaced brakes, AC thermostat and a thermostat control box, water heater, repaired cracked grey tank, and numerous minor things. The more you can do, the better. We have had the cooling unit of the fridge replaced twice, and had a mobile tech do that while at the Oasis RV Park in Las Vegas. Good luck on your adventure.

We've full timed for over six years now. We started with a Montana and when we traded this summer went with another Montana because of the reliability.

You need to look at new campers. I have a 2011 HC that's trouble free but I think quality has went way down since then but I'm a lot like a man I knew. He owned a RV dealership. He said campers are a lot like people, if you skin them there isn't much difference in them. I wouldn't expect any of them to be much different. Just keep your fingers crossed that you get a good one or find a lightly used one. That would be my choice.

Fulltimed six years, and 10 six month snowbird seasons in Florida. We are on our 4th Montana.

This is our 3rd Montana and we have been Fulltime now since October 2012. We love our Montana's and have been real lucky with break downs so far. Several relatively minor ones and several I have been able to fix by myself or have a friend help me. Good luck and enjoy yourself. Don't over think it or worry!
