Starting the 2 year countdown to FT

Things are getting real now as I look around the house and try to imagine how much stuff we have and the 'what do we absolutely need" project. We downsized once from 3,200 to 2,000 and had to get rid of lots of stuff but the task of getting down to a 5er will really tax our marriage concerning what is needed and what is not. OMG, this will be a real trial.
How did others do this?
