Something interesting to share

Home from work, sitting outside listening to the rain hit my awning got me thinking about an intersting encounter I had this past weekend while at my parents house.

My father and I were picking up some things in the major grocery (big chain store not a mom and pop). One of the store managers pulled me aside and told me they need my help in pulling off a surprise going away party for my father. She said they indend to have it upstairs in the office area and need me to help them schedule the time and get him there.

I know my father and I know why he is liked so much, but it really amazed me that a grocery store, a major chain, would be having a party for a customer who was moving away. It touched me too. For sure it's going to touch him.

Life is full of little surprises!
