Inverter question

While on shore power, the fan behind the breaker panel periodically runs. I'm assuming it's the fan cooling the inverter. If it is, what's running on the inverter while hooked to shore power?

That's your converter which charges the batteries. If you have an inverter it's usually near the batteries.

I never run my inverter unless I need it....like going down the road for the refer.
