I agree. The 350 is rated to tow up to 40,000 pounds ďbut I wouldnít do it,

Maybe you could pull 40K LBs, but how are you going to carry that pin weight, approx 8000 LBs, maybe a 10 Wheel Pickup?

Towing a 43 ft 5th wheel

Hi Gang, our current Montana is 35 ft long and we are looking to trade up to a new unit which is 42 ft. Tow vehicle aside, can you guys tell me what the difference in the driving experience is pulling a 5th wheel thatís 7 ft longer? Is it a big deal? Iím not worried about backing up itís the overall towing experience that concerns me.

We have 3781RL Legacy 42ft 14500# and a 3121RL 35ft 13000# Even with they extra 7ft
and 1500# I don't feel hardly any difference. The 42 stops better even if it is heavier due to the disc breaks, I also don't have to run as much gain, and this is with a 2019 2500 chevy Silverado with a 6.0 gas and 4:10 gears. My only mode was exhaust a K&N and Timbren spring helpers.
