Front Bumper Bike Rack

Does anyone have a front mounted bike rack? If so have you used a bike cover to keep the bugs off it and what are your thoughts ? Does the cover negatively effect the cooling of the radiator?

I installed a front mounted hitch on our last truck. I did carry the bikes up there a few times and honestly hated it. They were very distracting, obstructed my view and even blocked headlights at night. I noticed no difference in the engine temps and never worried about bugs. I think a cover over the bikes would restrict air flow though.

I will not put a front mounted hitch on another truck. The bikes were too high and generator was too low and too far forward. It was a lesson learned for me.

I have a front mount on my truck. I have used it for bikes I have not covered them. At the same time my bikes are not hundreds or thousands of dollars. I would think covering them would be bad for air flow. If bugs get on them I just have my kids wash them when we stop at the campground while I set up the camper and get slides out hoses hooked up.
