Speaking about batteries, generator's ect.

Does anyone here every stay at a rest stop area in your Montana to stay the night and sleep for 8 to 10 hours. Also shower, eat, and what ever you need to do for rest?

We do when we are on the road to the west coast. We will sleep with the generator on to run the AC, TV, Water pump ect. If we don't need to run the AC or TV, we will run off the batteries. I am not sure if we have a TV that run off of the inverter. I know on our other trailer we have TV in the bed room and I have falling a sleep with the TV on and still running when we wake up.

By the way, If you do stay at a rest area, make sure on the hours that you are allowed to stay and if they let you drop your jacks down without that being that your camping. California got on us because I had a slideout open. CHP said that we were camping and I was trying to tell him that it was our bed and it was the only way to get into the bed was to have that opened. I didn't win, but he said that we could stay 6 more hours if we closed the slideout. That what we did.

All the time's that we have stayed in a rest area, that was the only time that we had an issue with the law. Also we never had issue's with truck drivers or anything happening with anyone playing games.

That's funny, you can pitch a tent in a CA city and restroom wherever you want but you better close that slider! Welcome to CA.
