Norcold 1210 replac

My Norcold 1210 is working perfectly but i have just watched 2 neighbors spending over 3000$ fixing there broken one. I was converting my montana to a inverter ac operation . I see the replacement new is over 4000$ an insane amount for this fridge.
Anyhow i see all sorts of on line info on replacement to an AC fridge but looking for anyone whos done this to a Montana and specifically to the modification required to re fit .

The 1210 IMO is a piece of Junk. We do have a extended service contract that has paid out over 1000.00 in 1210 repairs on our 1210.

They are available much cheaper, but having said that, should ours fail I will employ my cabinetry skills and put in a residential refer.

If by AC fridge you mean residential fridge, ours has an inverter, cutoff switch, transfer switch, and second battery that is needed in addition to what an RV refer would need.

We have a 2011 and when our Norcold 4 door went out I replaced it with a residential. I found two units which are counter depth that would fit exactly in the space the Norcold occupied. Plugged the gas line and added a water line for the ice maker and we are happy campers. At that time, the two that fit that space were a Samsung french door model and a Fisher & Paykel.

Here are 3 more models. but will require the removal of the drawer under the norcold fridge.

Kenmore 70013 17.4 cu. ft.

Haier #HRQ16N3BGS

Frigidaire FFBN1721TV

unfortunate none have ice makers but we like the extra space anyway.
