Custom bending stairs

Just a cautionary tale.

For those of us with rear mounted stairs, 2955RL and such.

Be carefull going over curbs or areas that have a big drop. Don't ask.
Ferries that don't have the ramp adjusted properly or parking lots.
I realized I was in trouble TOO LATE. If I'd angled my way out of the parking lot the stairs would have been ok but I forgot and now they can't be used untill I get home and unmangle them. I realize I got lucky, as it is, because the rear cap must have been a 1/4" away from scraping.

So watch those curbs, parking lots, ferry ramps, etc. or any big drop where the axles may be in a dip and the trailer end cap is over a high area.
May you have better luck than I.

Clark and Shelia,
Sorry to hear of your woes but thanks for the warning. You are right you cannot be too safe. I hope you can repair it without too much trouble or expense.

I hit ours once but the damage was minimal, so it was an easy fix. I am aware and still watch what I am doing though, but thanks for the reminder.
