I still think the best place for a bike rack is on the hitch receiver at the front of the unit. We had one on our last unit and it was great.

Just wanted to say Thanks for all the input on toting bicycles around - we have mulled over all of these ideas - currently have the ladder rack, but also had a rack from an SUV used to carry our bikes via hitch and was considering the welding of a hitch on the "home"...you've given us pause to consider other options, as well, in the meantime, will continue with the ladder rack, which as has been mentioned, takes time to load and unload also causing one to carry the portable ladder elsewhere - sheesh!
