NOW WHAT???????

Ok Monty is at the dealer getting a new galley tank for the one that split. Got called to come and get it since it is done. Wow that was fast. So, all we had to pay was the $100 deductible,,,,Yaaah. So out to the lot to hook up and head home. First the batteries are dead, no biggie hooked up to the truck so the jacks run. While I finish hooking up the wife says why is our furnace running??? Figured they musta turned on the furnace or something and now I got a empty bottle of propane. Go inside and nope, the thermostat is OFF??? So just the fan is running?? Unplug from the truck it quits, plug back in the fan runs. Well dealer says probably some relay for the fan and would be covered by the ext warranty but would probably owe another $100 deductible??? Said, well trailer has not left the lot and the bill has not been sent in to the warranty company so better be covered under the same deductible. Dealer said would go to bat for us but can't guarantee anything. Said the warranty companies don't like it if you don't call all problems in at the same time. Told him to tell the company if they won't cover it under one deductable then I'm gonna cancel them. So guess we'll see what transpires...

So where do you think the dealer's service pinched the control line for the furnace?? I sure don't recall you saying anything about the furnace fan running continually. So it sure sounds like they pinched a wire.

Been going over that in my head all day but there is really no reason for them to be any where near the interior wiring. The tank is in the belly in the rear and the furnace in i the basement right beside the basement. The only wiring I have seen in the belly is the brakes and road lights. And no it was not running when we dropped it off. At least we didn't hear it, but I would have heard it before we left to take it down.. I don't know, I just don't see how they could have done anything to the furnace wiring taking down the rear tank. Just may be a coincidence???

Sounds like the dealer did something they either don't know about, or they're trying to cover up. (at your expense)

Dave when you drop the belly cover you would be amazed at the wires in the belly and how they are ran. You would see why there is no wireing diagram!! I have been in mine a couple of times.

I agree, has to have been the dealer. Hard to believe in coincidence.

I don't know, dealer is claiming the tech said it was running when he pulled it into the shop. My question is if it was why did he not say something instead of letting the batteries run down. Crestview North of Austin has been pretty good to us in the past and have only heard good things bout them. Now Crestview South is a different story. Guess we'll have to wait and see what they find out or what they decide to tell me.. I was wondering if the water in the belly had something to do with it just like my brakes going into Overload? Just seems all that wiring stays up in the basement or under the stairs where the furnace is at. Oh well either way I don't gotta trace it out Thank God lol lol

Another example of not taking care of the customer which in my company was grounds for termination

The wiring on all the Montanas I have seen is really a mess,...wires running everywhere. Upscale RVs have all wires bundled, labeled, secured with clamps and covered with protective plastic. When I first got my 3400, I removed the panel behind the area containing the water connections, took one look and closed it back up. Kind of like a doc performing exploratory surgery, there was no hope for those wires.

Yeah!! the warranty company covered the the furnace problem under the same deductable. According to the svc mgr they had to replace the furnace board. True or not I don't know but that's his story and he's sticking to it lol.... Had to pay a total of $113 cause they would not cover spray foam and duct tape lol lol.. I did see the bill for the tank which was $985 and the last circuit board they replaced on a trailer I had was around $700 so slowly getting my money back on my extended warranty. It would still make me happy though if I didn't get a cent back on it lol lol.....

You would really hate knowing the real cost of that plastic tank from the supplier.

I had to buy a galley tank and it was less than the shipping charge and it was stil too much in my mind. Huge markup on that stuff.

I had to order a tank for my last Monty. They charged me just over 3 hundred. Ended up getting my money back because we traded for a new rig. LOL Dennis
