Inverter?

Hi guys. Trying to figure out if my newly acquired 2010 Montana mountaineer has an inverter. Where would it be located? Would it power all the ac outlets or just a select few? Any help appreciated. Best regards, Hal

If you have one it should be installed very close to your batteries...within about 5-6 foot. There will be a power supply wire running directly from battery to inverter. It most likely was installed by previous owner IF you have one. It would most likely power only a few items unless you have a large array of batteries or solar.

Your 2010 Mountaineer did not come with an inverter. If there is one, it was added be a previous owner. Look for heavy duty battery cables coming from the battery and going to a rectangular box. This box is usually located away from the batteries in the pass through storage area. The cables running from the battery to the self resetting circuit breakers (the little guys with the red plastic covers) are not the cables you are looking for.

If you have one your Montana trailer you should see a large fuse switch in the battery compartment that then leads to the inverter and as pointed out inverter mounted in the pass through storage compartment. In addition, it will generally power only a few ac outlets and it should come with a connection to plug in a 110 volt power cord. You might get lucky and find those inverter-powered outlets labeled. If you only one battery and no solar panel you will have limited use before the battery discharges.
