Not eveyone believes and/or feels like that and that's ok. Science is no longer herasy. We will find our way through this and hopefully without destroying ourselves over a dollar, conspiracy theories or making sacrifices to RA.

We do live in fear of the virus. What I posted in comment # 59 is the terrible reality. There is a choice to make that may involve the life or death of ourselves and our loved ones.

We are both retired and have a income. We can pay the bills and buy food. We can choose how we deal with this. We are not huddled in our house but we take every precaution and listen to the medical profession.

The reality is we can not continue on the present course.

This concerns me more then the current lockdowns, a second 'wave':

https://www.nationalreview.com/news/...ould-be-worse/

We have already resigned ourselves to the fact that we wont be doing much at least to mid summer and beyond. This is a real threat to us - again.

I am sure a majority of people are starting to agree that going forward we need to start to get each countries economies going again, but with extreme caution. From there it will be up to each and every person to hopefully also go forward in a cautious manner. We will all need to embrace a new normal for quite some time.

Also let's not forget when we evaluate all we have lost, the money, jobs, personal freedoms, etc., etc., that it was really worth it.

All the chaos that we have been through and have yet to go through has resulted in the savings of perhaps hundreds of thousands of lives.JMHO.

This thread has done nothing more than drive a wedge between MOC members.

Not so, we all know who is left and who is right. We all have an opinion. No problem stating your opinion as none of us will change anyone's mind. It only gets bad when an opinion is disagreed with and an argument starts which has not happened but something far more reaching. I thought it hilarious when I jokingly made a comment about upsetting Nancy and POOF it as gone. Ya know what they say about those that cannot take a joke. I miss ALL the deleted posts as none seemed to violate any rule. If you feel best in your safe place I'm happy for you but please don't be upset that some are out and about every day.

So I am going to end my participation in this thread in what I hope will be a high note. Though Covid-19 has affected mortalities in all age groups it’s brief historical data indicates the highest mortality rates in the age range of most of the folks that make up the RV community and this forum. I for one would like to continue to communicate with the many new friends I have made within this group. Stay safe and remember self preservation is a good thing.

My opinion - just another discussion around a campfire. Not all will agree about the subject's cause and effect but we can still remain friends. It's only when it gets to name calling that it becomes a problem and something I've seen elsewhere, not here

I really wished that I didn't start this thread in the first place. I thought some great dialog from the members who have something in common, the love of getting out RVing, would be helpful as we all are in the same situation.

But that wasn't to be.

AZ, as far as the "wedge" goes, well I am sorry you feel that way. We all have opinions, we all have to handle this unprecedented situation in a way that works for each us.

Maybe Carl, the moderator can lock this thread and we all get back to discussing cracked leaky black tanks.

Ars Technica has an article on the cost and benefits of social distancing. While you may not agree with all of it it is a worthwhile read. They say then benefits to society outweigh the down side by over 5 billion dollars.

No reason to wish you had not started this thread, most of us are adults. Some have just spent too much time at home in their safe space and have safe space fever. I just took the dog to the marina and took the boat out on the ICW as the Atlantic is a bit rough for the little guy.
