Bathroom Door

We have a 2020 3120 RL Montana. This unit’s bathroom door is one of the swivel types. Rather than using the door knob when opening and closing the door, people are grabbing the edge of the door. Well this is starting to peel the laminate off on the edge of the door. Has anyone had this issue? I am trying to think what a person could put around the entire edge of the door to protect it? I was thinking some sort of clear tape, but I wanted to check for other ideas?

Open the 2 pieces, put a little bit of wood glue. Squeeze, wipe excess and use blue tape to hold both pieces together. Let dry for about an hour. Remove tape. Should be good to go.
