No you don't have to run the tire at the maximum pressure.
If you want to run them at 110PSI then you need different rims.
You can run them at 80 on your rims. You just can't exceed the load limit of 3640# per tire.

Yeah lots of choices. My wife and I just got home from our friends, 4 year old duaghters funeral. (Born with a rare blood dis-order) Suddenly things like tires don't seem to important.

For maximum load carrying capacity they must be run at max pressure but it's perfectly OK to run them at a lesser pressure they just don't have as much load carrying capacity.

John, thank you for being a Sailun customer. Inregards to your inquiry, I am assuming the weight you provided was fully loadedand that you have two axles (4 tires).
The math works out to 3500 lbs./tire. I have attachedthe load and inflation table for ST tires. You will see that at 80 psi,the tire will carry 3640 lbs./tire. So, you can go as low as 80psi. If you want to build some safety in, you can run your tires at 85 or90 psi. The issue with putting too much air is you will find your trailermay “bounce” a little going down the road. You may have to experiment alittle to find the optimal pressure.

You will see the chart only shows up to a 10 ply (“E”) ratedtire. For each 5 psi increase in air pressure, you can carry anadditional 120 lbs. of weight/tire. up to 110 psi.

So I talked to a guy at simple tire, they canceled my order and his recomendation is this
HI RUN JK42 TRAILER ST235/85R-16

I never thought buying a good set of tires would be so difficult.

I put them on mine a couple months ago 640. out the door. By the way my wife has never questioned me about spending money on things that keep us safe she knows with many years and miles under our belt we have only been stranded on the side of the road one time.

So you like them, thats one I couldn't find a review. They quoted me $408.89 to my house. And my wife is the same way, I was just making a joke. She knows if there needed I'm buying them and that we need them

They are a serious tire and I have put a few miles on them so far. We are leaving for the panhandle Friday morning. The best thing I can say about them is peace of mind knowing they are good tires.

Well me too! so I'm having saluns installed this coming wendsday. I tried ordering again on simple tire price went up about $65 so I called Big-O in healdsburg Ca. It's amazing how the price quotes change when talking to a different sales person. 4 Sailuns 235/85R/16 mounted balanced $760 out the door, and I'll run about 85 PSI Were leaving next month for our property on the Canada border and I'll feel a lot better with these even if not run at 110 PSI.

Mel, glad to see you get the tires you wanted. I finally ordered mine from Simple Tire and had them mounted and balanced at NTB for $80, 654 total. When they tried balancing with 110 psi they kept adding and removing weights until he told me he was going to use balancing beads. He put 6.5 oz in each tire and seems to be alright. Time will tell. The balancing problems you had was likely caused by trying to balance using a hub centric balance as aposed to a lug centric balancing system. A common problem with tire shops. After market rims (all RV rims) need lug centric balancing.

Thanks for the info about the hub and lug centric balancing systems. I'm going to roll with the beads for now and see how that works out.

We've had our property since 1992, bought it for next to nothing. We just last year started working on the property. And It's sad to say that I have looked at the border crossing so many times, but I've never crossed. We shop int Oriville Wa. 35 miles west of our property. I will say that Okanogan County is so big and so much wild country. That on the few times we needed the law for trespassers or a squatter. The border patrol is one of the first agencys to show up, and are very helpful. Every year I say I'm crossing this year but it's 1000 miles one way and when we get there it's so peiceful, we don't want to leave. But nieghbors go and I never hear any complaints/
