Border Patrol

Coming back from the DAV last week I saw the most interesting paint job on a Hummer H3, driving on I 10 here comes this red white and blue Hummer really a very expensive looking paint job. Then I see the light rack on top red and blue lights the side door said BOARDER PATROL now I’m thinking no wonder they don’t seem to have the resources to catch illegal activity at the boarder they are spending an exorbitant amount of money on there vehicles. As it passed I cracked a big smile as I read on the back of the vehicle DONATED BY SMUGGLERS!

Our Police Department has Hummer H3s!! It raised a few eyebrows, but after public lashings they published an article explaining they actually specified a Chevy Trailblazer type vehicle which is pretty common, but Hummer came in and beat the bid under Chevy.

I really don't think the H3 is that expensive, so you may see them being used more and more.

It wasn't so much the H3 as the paint job, very dark tinted windows and all the other superficial items that I observed. I really thought it was rather exorbitant till I saw it was donated by some not so fine citizens. Most of the border patrol we see drive in the larger Hummer with the plain drab paint jobs. I have nothing at all against our Police and other service departments doing their jobs in the best equipment that they can get. The paint just happened to catch my eye.
