New Lurker from the Great NW

Hi. From Snohomish, WA. Currently have SOB (05 NuWa HHII 32.5 UKTG)
We've managed a few extended trips but grandkids happened and we've stayed close to home the past few years. Now they're older and we (my wife) feels we can roam farther afield. Planning on selling s&b in a year or two and getting newer equipment. Thus the reason for lurking, to learn more about Montanas. The 3402RL is on our shortlist.

Well you came to the right place, We had a 3402RL that was trouble free Except for the bad thetford Toilet, Only thing we did not like about the 3402RL was the useless sink in the bathroom AND my wife LOVES to cook and our New 2015 3735MK has A HUGE pantry and bigger Kitchen AND 2 Entry doors and BIG living room ,other than that we LOVED our 3402RL ,but Everybody has there needs and Montana has you covered with Sooooooo many floorplans that will fit your needs AND by the Way Tacoma RV throws in a Lifetime Warranty for nothing that covers everything but the slides which Keystone covers for the first year IF Any dealer of ANY brand could of beat it We would have bought it,we were looking at a Jayco Pinnacle or a Grand Designs Solitude but they could Not beat the Deal OR the Bang for the buck

Welcome to the MOC family. The 3402 has been a popular floor plan and you will glean a wealth of information from those owners. Good luck with your decision.

Welcome to the forum! One thing to remember as you lurk, this is a place full of friendly knowledgeable folks always ready and willing to help. As a result, folks come here with problems and it's easy to believe Montana's are a flawed brand. Just remember as you look here that we have thousands of members many of whom are enjoying a trouble free camping experience with their Monty.

Welcome to the Montanas Owners Club from Pierce County WA. You are in the correct place to hear both the GOOD and bad about Montana equipment. Hope to see you and yours on the WA back roads. Mike

Welcome to the forum and we hope that you will see by the level of activity that we are all here to help one another. We had a NuWa prior to our first Montana and we could not have been happier making the switch. Not that we did not like our NuWa but we had a very bad issue with a leak that cause major damage to a slide (rot). We decided to trade to a new Montana knowing at the time NuWa was struggling.

Montana has a lot to offer for the price point. The key to your search is what dealer to go with. The service at the dealer is critical so try and get feedback on the dealers you are looking at to see how well they handle warranty and service calls.

Good Luck,

Les

Welcome to the forum from Spokane, Wa. Lots of great folks and tons of information here. We did a lot of research, many RV shows, and "walked" through so many 5vers that they all blurred together. Fortunately we had a great dealer that let us come back over and over again. Montana does offer a lot for the price.

Welcome from NC. You will see both pros and cons here. IMHO, there is no more coach built, value per dollar. You will learn a lot here. Come on and enjoy the group.

Have 2013 3402RL and love it! A few small problems but nothing that would keep me from purchasing a new one. Good Luck and ENJOY!!

Welcome to the forum from just west of Olympia.! I have found lots of useful information on here about just about any subject you could think of. We purchased last year a 2014 3402RL and love it. We had an issue with the stair light and some separation around one of the basement door frames, and some clean up to do on the moldings. Also had milking up of the finish on the table and chairs, but all was replaced under warranty and no problems since. We love the layout and space. Hope to see you around the west coast for now, since we are not yet retired.
