Seen that guy pass me a couple of times while out on Americas highways...personally, I always think in terms of how fast can I stop the combination, not how fast I can get it going!

With over 600 HP I could easily pull my camper at in excess of 100 MPH and I can load another tune and have over 700 HP but even then I don't think the truck would run 140 without the camper. It would run out of power before I got to 140. At much over 3000 RPMs the power goes down fast. Oh well if I wonted to run 140 I would buy a Vette but it's fun to think about.

For me 62 is plenty fast enough. Others out here on I-40 like to keep it down to 80. At least they didn't try to do it with the original tires.

62 is fast enough for us. It's about enjoying and relaxing. Plus fuel mileage is excellent at 62. Easy to stop from 62. Makes us happy.

mlh.. you might not make it to 140, but you would sure get to 100 in a hurry!
Love the 6.4's deleted and tuned!
While not breaking any land speed records with the Monty, we usually go with the flow of traffic, being sure to leave plenty of room to stop, and usually try to get between the wolf packs so we are towing by ourselves.

That was the first thing I was thinking about is the tires on the TT, even though I run 14 ply on the TV and TT, I only run 2 over up to 67 mph with plenty of room in front of me if needed to stop quickly..............Ron

Ren what tune did you use in your 6.4 and have you tuned your 6.7? I like you just go with the flow, no matter what that is. I don't like holding up traffic.

Hey Lynwood... I havent had the chance to own a 6.4. Even though there is a really nice 08 f-450 for sale, taunting me right now. If only I had that same turning radius on my f-350... I wouldnt be looking... anyways....
All my friends with 6.4's are running the H+S tuner and deleted all the evel crap that chokes our trucks.
My 6.7 is all stock. Im too much of a chicken to loose my warranty, but if I feel the need to roll coal, it will be a full delete with H+S tuner.

Ren you may not loose your warranty. It usually depends on your diesel tech, not Ford. the last tine I was at dealer I went back to see my Tech. He was replacing a 6.4 that the owner had run out of coolant over heated it and ruined the engine. It was so hot it melted the plastic in the oil filter. The owner said it was his fault. The engine was being replaced under warranty. The tech said weather it was replaced under warranty depended on how he wrote the claim up. I ask what was the chance Ford would check. One in a million, was his answer. The moral of the story, Get to know your tech, be good to him and tip him every time he opens the hood of your truck. When he opens my hood he gets a hundred dollar bill. Before you ask NO I WOULD NOT CHEAT FORD. If I break my truck I will pay to have it fixed. I will not look at a crook while I shave.
