Bought a New Montana
We traded our 2980 2006 for a new 2008 3485SA. I see that Glenn has a 2007. Glenn my wife is wondering if your wife ever mentions anything about the counter space at all. We really like the open floor plan of the living area and the bathroom being in one area. We are both excited about getting our new trailer and will pic it up in a couple of weeks. We purchased it from Tarpley RV in Durango,Co which is a ways from our house but the dealer here by us will never see me again. Al

Congatulations Al!! The SA models were not available when we bought ours, but now that I see them I like the design.
Better drag that new rig over Wolf Creek Pass in a hurry - snow tonight at 9,000ft.

Good on you Al...we've been looking at the 3585 with the rear kitchen.
Love that plan. Hope you like yours too - I see the pin weight is a little lower than most of the line too.
@bsmeaton...
. Shhh...too early for that four letter word...still want to use ours for a while yet... Now I have to start thinking about heaters.

I picked up our last trailer in the snow that would just be my luck again. But we both know that in Colo it can be here today and gone tomorrow. Al

First of all Congrats on the new rig.
Secondly, Lorraine nor I do a whole lot of cooking so the counter space is just dandy for us. We have our servants do all our cooking. You probably have even met some of them if you ever stopped at Cracker Barrel, Denny's, Perkins or CiCi's. Even have servants at Micky D's, BK, KFC. Arby's and yes there is my girlfriend Wendy.

Since I do cook ( I can't afford servants, still have a house) and have the 3485SA, the limited counter space is a pain. I'm always moving something to make room for something else. I could solve part of my problem if I had Chuck install an under the counter coffee maker. But I won't have one of those after the one at my house steamed the varnish off my cupboards.
What bothers me more is the light. It's in front of the window and not over the sink which I would like. I would like one of those battery operated stick up lights put there. Chuck just looks at me.

Congrats on the new Monty. Great news!
Post or send some pictures please when you get it.
We drove through a snow storm to pick up our new Montana when we bought ours in Feb. 2005 in Texas. Weather was nice all way back home. But our trade in was a snowy mess.
Our high here today was 60 and it is 51 degrees now.

Sorry to hear of your problem with the lack of light. I have no problem fixin that for Dolly and if she needs more light over the sink I happen to have 2 battery powered led lights ready to be installed. I guess if we are slack on counter space we will come up with something. I guess none of these units are perfect or we would all be buying the same one.
Glenn
I have met most of your servants but some of them are just not on my list. After 34 years of driving a truck I am just tired of eating out. Oh yes we still go but my stomach says no to KFC and Mickey D's. I just am partial to those meals at Dollys kitchen. Al
