Mountaineer 303RLD

Hi All!

We are new to this site and are considering purchasing a 2006 Mountaineer 303RLD (finally moving up from our pop-up). I'm not crazy about the rear door, but the quality of the rig, the bathroom with vanity, and the storage space are all big pluses. I'm willing to go with it for the right price. The dealer's list is $41K, they said they could get down to $32,500 - I'm thinking since this is last years model and they want to move it out for the 2007's we should be able to get it for under $30K, am I being realistic?

The price does not look out of line, but you may be able to get a better deal. I suggest you do some pricing on the internet or even get a quote from another dealer with the same options.

Is it really last years model already? I didn't think they started the 2007 until January, unlike car manufacturers.

In the past the change over in the numerical year has been done around June 1st. Running changes in the units take place ALL the time.

And, all that can change too!

There were already some 2007s on the lot while we were there. I was surprised too that a 2006 would be considered 'old'. But I'm fine with an 'old' model if it's a good deal! Thanks for your response - I've been checking the internet and there MSRP is in line, but I'm waiting to hear back on what kind of discounted pricing I can get from some of the other dealers.

We are cleaning up the pop-up now, getting it ready to sell or trade-in!
