AC freeze-up
2014 Montana High Country 2ACs a 15,000 ducted and a 13,500 non ducted. Both worked fine until last Sept when both started freezing- up. The tech said non ducted was not a great installation and some of the tape and sealing material had come loose and was the problem for that one. The tech attributed the problem on the 15000 ducted unit to low coolant (I know not freon anymore) and said that unit could not be re-charged would need a new unit . I delayed replacement until I could use the 5er again and this is the first time we have used it and are seeing the same problems. My questions-- can units be recharged and can you see any reasonable scenario where both would occur at the same time? The nonducted was supposedly fixed but has still frozen the last three days in a row. Both still pump cool air but both still freeze.
