Generator Wire

I have a Honda 3000si generator on a rear bumper rack. Rather than use the 30' cable to attach it to the rig I would like to have a 6' length with the proper connector for the receptacle on the back of the Monty. Any sources?

You can buy all the parts at H\D and build your own!

Any sources, yes do what I did make it yourself. It’s really easy. I made one to go from the front of my camper to the front of my truck bed.

Generator wire

What is "H/D" and do they have the special plug for the back of my rig?

He's probably referring to Home Depot.

And another thing you don’t need a 50 amp wire you can’t use it. Make a 30 amp it’s a lot cheaper and lighter.

Here is an adapter to get you down to 30 amp and a 10’ extension.

Great help! Ordered the parts. Thanks. As a side note, this Honda 3000si is heavy but is amazingly quiet. Can feel the vibration from the rack holding it but can barely hear it.

I have a Onan Micro Quiet 4000 in my Motor Home. It vibrates the whole camper and is anything but quiet. I’m thinking about throwing it away and mounting my Honda on the back of the camper.

Generator

As a feature the Honda goes into an idle mode when no load is applied. That is superbly quiet and the electric start is also great. Had to have the dinky hitch that was on the Montana replaced to handle the rack but it has been well worth the total investment.
