3 ply sidewalls

Became knowledgable on trailer tires but never really looked deep into truck tires. Many of you probably know this, but I didn't. The vast majority of truck tires, no matter how many plys they advertise only have two ply sidewalls. We've had a couple of problems with sidewalls and beads over the years and I ran into a friend who had what he called "heavy weight tires" on his truck that he got from Big O. So I went to Forrest Tire in Carlsbad and ask them about it. That's when they told me that they only carried two brands of truck tires with three ply sidewalls, BF Goodrich and Cooper, and that they used the Bf Goodrich's on their truck (multiple locations in NM) that hauls their tire trailer and have never had a sidewall issue. We now have a pair on the back or our truck and we'll see how they do.
