The RV Salesman Saga has come to an end....
Let's just say that the job was ultra boring, most folks coming in had been there previously. This time of year is slow for RV sales. Possibly due to the show coming up in a couple weeks. I only had one customer and they were just "looking". Spent 4 very very boring days wandering around the lot. I checked out every RV on the lot at least once and some 2 and 3 times.
Anyway the MOC gathering on Friday is still going to happen but I just won't be selling. Anyone having a serious interest should still see me first and I will point you to the "right" salesperson.

Sorry the job didn't work out Glenn, with your knowledge you're a natural. I tried selling new cars once upon a time in my youth. (Iwas youthful?) Boring!!, I know what you mean. When it's slow all you get is tired feet and no paycheck, When your busy all you get is tired feet and not nearly what you thought you would make!
The only companies I ever really made big money at was as manager of five Grocery Stores in Alaska a long time ago and selling commercial detergents for a large Chemical company.

The RV business can be like that..been there done that..but don't give up..if selling RV's appeals to you find another dealer.Helen and I concentrated on working the RV shows..lots of people, lots of action. If your dealer needs extra sales people for the upcoming show think about doing it. I do not like to work in the dealer show room for reasons you are aware of however..You can usually sell more units at a RV show that you can sell out of the dealership in several months. 4 or 5 years ago we sold over 112,000.00 worth of TT's at the show in 4 days. You know what the average commissions are..do the numbers..that's a nice chunk of fun money.

Sorry your efforts and knowledge didn't pay off, Glenn. Maybe it's just meant for you to be an active member of the MOC ... it's your calling!

But if you hadn't have done that, Glenn, you always would have wanted to, and it would have been an anchor in your life. Now, you can move on with peace of mind.

And here I thought you'd found yet another thing you'd excel at. But, I think I'd feel the same way in the same circumstances.

Sorry about your experience. Sometimes we don't understand why but it's always good for us in the long run. Perhaps anoher time and place. Good luck.
