Wind Deflectors
I checked out the search on this but couldn't come up with any thread on it, So here goes! Do any of you use the "wind delectors" or "air wings" on the top of your TV to cut the wind drag from the Montewhen you're towing it?

There was a tread a few days or weeks ago on this and the major consenses was that it is a waste of money since the Montanas have an aerodynamic design. Trucks (semis) that use the deflectors with boxes have 2 common things that we pickup drivers don't have. (1) the trailer is a flat faced box (2) there is a very small gap between the back of the semi and the trailer.
That gap is increased on the pickup creating more of a problem with air flow than without the deflector. Others will come along to confirm or dispute what I have said.

Rondo I had one on my tv with my s.o.b. it had a flat front and it helped. But as stiles said the montana has a better front. I would not spend the money to buy one now. I do think they look good. bobby

I suppose they would make a pretty good rolling billboard, or as has been said, a good bug deflector for the Montana, lol. Here is a shortcut to the other thread.

I have read severa studies in the past three or four years and the what it boiled downt to is: To get your money's worth out of the wind deflector, you would need to haul just about full time like a semi driver. The only way it would pay you back the money of install and the product would be if you drove or hauled items for several years day in and day out. and then the savings over these years was only very slight. I would save your money and spend it on the BRANSON SPRING GET TOGEATHER IN MAY 2008. BRANSON IS GREAT IN 2008 ASK ANYBODY'''''''
