MorRyde IS Suspension
Those of you that have IS suspension, especially ones that were upgraded to the IS suspension. What is maintenance items, alinement, etc, if any? Problems with IS? Planning to have our 3100RL upgraded with the IS right before the Sept Rally. Just doing a little homework before installation. Thanks

I'm going to have them check it next fall, just because it's been on for four years and over 30,000 miles. Had a rubber shear right from the factory, since then no problems and no effort on my part. They were great when we had the issue. I'd put them on again if we ever have another rig without IS.

The only required maintenance item is greasing the single zerk fitting found on each suspension unit. Tech told me to do it yearly or biannually if traveling a lot. According to him, it isn't something you can worry about over doing, as there aren't any seals.

At this time we are scheduled for the day after the rally to have the I/S done but would be doing the disc brakes at the same time. You might look at the brakes unless you already have them.

We are scheduled to have IS and disc brakes installed starting on Thursday the 24th at 6am and will be spending that night at MORryde facility as it will take more than one day. From comments here on the MOC and others we have met along the way the disc brakes are a great up grade. We also notice some heavier SOB 5th wheels have the IS as standard.

So what is the cost of the IS and Disc brake upgrades. The brake upgrade is already on my wish list but have to do some more research on IS cost/benefits.

We have been quoted "discount the price to $5400 for a 7k and $5900 for a 8k" (axles) for both IS and disc brakes, they weigh the trailer to determine the proper size. From reading their web site ,here on the MOC, and on other forums the disc brakes are hydraulic with electric and that will be placed in our front compartment.

Thanks everyone!
We already have the disk brakes, installed last Oct, what a difference on stopping. Scheduled in at MorRyde on Sept 21st for the IS Suspension. Then off to the Rally.
