Son is coming home
Our middle son is on his way home from Kandahar, left today and should arrive here Sat. or Sun. He is a Major and part of his responsibilities recently has been assisting with transport for the "Angel Flights' and also wounded . He told me that he had never been more proud but never more weary. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS. Larry

Larry glad your son is on his way home, SAFE.
I am about to experiance all the emotions you military parents go through. My son signed up for the army last year and told me this year he wants to go active.
I thank him and all military for their service.

I spent 29 years in the Army with multiple deployments to combat zones, and going home after each are high spots in my and my wife's life. We thank you for your son's service, and gratefull he is on his way home safely.

Congratulations and welcome home to him!
We are now just starting our pins and needle deployment of our nephew whom is expected to arrive in Kandahar very soon, probably tomorrow or Saturday. The stress goes beyond parentage especially for anyone you know of personally.
We can only be comfortable with the power of prayer for all his comrades and anyone associated with our Armed Forces.

Great news and after being raised as an "Army Brat" know that feeling of a returning family member, even though I was a little on the young side then. Like others, we are thankful for your son as well as all others who have served this country to give us the freedoms that way too many people nowadays take for granted!

"Coming home" evokes some strong memories for Betty and I. I'm glad that your son and your family will get to experience this wonderful feeling. You never forget it.
Please pass on a big thank you and job well done to your son for us.

x100 to all that has been said on this great forum about your son coming home, HOW EXCITING. It is so nice to have our service members receiving such wonderful welcome home messages from fellow Americans. I remember a time when we didn’t respect our solders, and I hope we never ever do that again. God Bless the American Service Members currently serving our county and protecting all of us each and every day.
