Considering 3741FK...

We are not Montana owners yet, but will most likely end up in a 3741FK model. While there are other FK models out there in other manufacturers, we just really like the layout of the front in the 3741. We have kind of a unique situation when all of our kids are with us, and this layout suits us better than anything else we've seen.

Now to get all the numbers straight, we're probably in...

We have the 2017 3820FK earlier version of the one your looking at, love it. You will like the additional underbelly storage if you spend lots of time in it.

The underbelly storage was something that we where originally not happy with, because of the little doors on the side in the rear. Then we saw the pull out, slide, and we were all over that.

Our current camper has a fair amount of basement storage space wise, but the doors are very short in height, and it makes getting things in and out very difficult.

There is also storage up in the front under the dinette area, which would be good for things you don't have to get out that often...

Well, considering in the title should now say owning.

Got the deal done, and brought it home last night. We still have a few issues that the dealer needs to resolve, chipped paint on front cap in two spots, and we're missing the door for the front clean out handle, and I think that there's a water leak somewhere, because the pump runs about every 2 minutes for about 5 seconds, but other than that, so far, it seems to be a well built unit.

We did an initial walk-thru on our own, about two days before we signed, and we noted several things that the dealer fixed before we went to pick it up.

We will be going out for a long weekend next weekend to test everything out. Should know more then.

I'm having to re-learn how to tow with this new rig. Our old camper was 32' overall, and this is about 40.5' overall. That means that the wheels are somewhere around 5-6' further back than our old camper. I have to swing things a LOT wider than I was used to. Didn't hit the curb yesterday, but came close a couple of times!! (at least closer than I should have been)

A lot to learn!!! Looking forward to the journey...

Thank you for that tidbit! We will give that a try. Obviously our PDI person didn't know about switching that valve. At first she didn't even notice that it was running every 2 minutes.

I'm kind of surprised how loud the pump is in this RV. It's nice to know when it's acting like it is now, so that you know that you have a leak...

We went our maiden voyage last weekend, and I tested the system out, and sure enough, turning this valve to "normal" position stopped the pump from running every 2 minutes!!
