TV switching question

We have a TV in the living room and want to send the AT&T u-verse signal to the kitchen, (don't want to buy another receiver, just watch the same program as the main TV)
Can I just plug a HDMI cable into the TV, if it has an output, and get the same signal?
(In our sticks and bricks) ... but we have no bricks..
Thanks.
Ozz

Edited to add U-verse

Ozz, I assume you are talking U-verse? If so, as long as you have a long enough HDMI cable to go from the output on the TV in the living room to the kitchen television you are good to go. This may be another solution: http://www.amazon.com/HD-102-Powered...ter+1+in+2+out . I haven't tried them but my AT&T contact assures me they work. Jim

Thanks Jim, I don't have a HDMI out labeled connection, so I did not know if that would work. So all the ports are 'Hot' when connected?
I will get another HDMI cable, I bought a 25 footer on the Internet to connect my security camera monitor to get a better picture, I can't tell the difference, but my vision isn't what it used to be.

ahh, the splitter is probably what I need, thanks. I didn't even know they made one. U-verse wants you to buy another unit, can't blame them for that, but it looks like your idea is what I need.
Appreciate it.

Your welcome Oz and let us know how it works. In the mean time I think you could hook a regular coax up to the coax output (to TV) on the back of the U-verse box and then on the TV. Picture quality won't be as good as HDMI but it ain't bad. Jim
