While waiting in Goshen

We were in Goshen, Indiana, in 2007 for a Montana Owner's Rally. Dianna went shopping with the ladies one day to a little, mostly Amish community named, Shipshewana. She bought an Amish quilt from a quilt store in Shipshshewana. When she got it home, she discovered that it was made in China. I had never heard of Chinese Amish.

We have a king sized bed, but standard sized pillows. So instead of king sized pillow shams, we have had two regular shams for three pillows. This has bugged Dianna ever since. She felt like she was a sham short and that was a shame. So today we went to Shipshewana to shop for a sham to shore up the sham-short situation and take away her sham shame.

We arrived on the last day of the shopping season, just one hour before closing. We sped from one shop to the next because she could not remember exactly in which shop she had secured the quilt and shams. We searched and searched for the same sham store, not sure they would have the right sham after three years, even if we did find same sham shop.

On the last row at the farthest end of the row, we finally found the sham shop. They had the same style quilt on sale and also had single shams for sale. So Dianna is smiling because her sham shame is solved. Now ain't that sweet, so sweet we celebrated with pie and coffee at the Shipshewana Sweet Shop.

Stiles-- Did you and Dianna hit the Amish bulk store while in Shipshewana? We've hit it two years straight now AFTER the Fall Rally and bought items we can't find in our bulk stores here in Nebraska like cinnomon chip and several other items. If you haven't hit it yet, you better make a trip back and see what it's all about!
